Ed Feitzinger, the former chief executive officer of freight forwarder UTi Worldwide, which was acquired in October by DSV, is now vice president of global logistics at Amazon.

Ed Feitzinger, the former chief executive officer of freight forwarder UTi Worldwide has joined Amazon as vice president of global logistics, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Feitzinger spent six years with UTi, including the last 15 months as CEO, prior to its acquisition by European competitor DSV in October. According to LinkedIn, he left UTi in February.
He has had previous stints with Golden Gate Logistics, HP and Menlo Worldwide (now a part of XPO Logistics).
American Shipper profiled Feitzinger’s role in trying to restore UTi to its former luster.
His hire by Amazon again highlights the online retailer’s unmistakable march toward building a major global logistics presence, and not necessarily just to serve its own supply chain.
