Former Wal-Mart executive heads trucker’s board

Former Wal-Mart executive heads truckerÆs board    Lee Stucky, former senior vice president and chief administrative officer for Wal-Mart International, will serve as board chairman of Scranton, Pa.-based freight transportation services provider Kane is Able.
   The new Kane is Able board combines two pre-existing entities: the company owners and Kane's advisory board. The integration marks the first time non-family members will have a vote in determining company's direction and strategy.
   Kane family members on the board are Joan Kane, Kathleen Calpin, Richard Kane, Eugene Kane Jr., Christopher Kane, Edward Kane, Michael Kane and Kelly Stark. In addition to Stucky, non-Kane family members on the board include long-time supply chain industry executives Martin C. Murphy, Tom Escott, Tom Speh and Tom Hall
   Stucky was hand-picked for the chairman's role by Gene Kane, the former board head who passed away recently at the age of 80.
