Forth Ports raises 2006 expectations

The United Kingdom’s Forth Ports has raised its full-year expectations after increased property profits and port volumes.

Forth Ports operates seven ports in Scotland, mainly in the Forth Estuary, and the Port of Tilbury on the Thames in England.

At Tilbury, Forth Ports said it has experienced increased cargo volume from the Far East, stronger bulk tonnages and rising short-sea container volumes. The company also said its Scottish ports will see an improvement in financial performance in the second half of the year over the first half.
