Forward Air completes acquisition of Black Hawk

Forward Air completes acquisition of Black Hawk Forward Air said it has completed its acquisition of assets of Black Hawk Freight Services Inc. of Milan, Ill.
   Black Hawk provides expedited line haul, local cartage, and exclusive use vehicles and had revenue of $30 million last year.
   Forward Air provides time-definite ground transportation services through a network of 81 terminals, located on or near major U.S. and Canadian airports, to the air cargo industry. Forward offers the services as a cost-effective alternative to air transportation of cargo that must be delivered at a specific time, but is relatively less time-sensitive than traditional air freight or when air transportation is not economical.
