Foss hires O’shea to manage Alaskan oil and gas projects

Foss hires OÆShea to manage Alaskan oil and gas projects Seattle-based Foss Maritime Co. recently named Mike O'Shea to the newly created position of vice president of oil field services.
   A 20-year veteran of the marine transportation industry, O'Shea will be responsible for oversight and management of Foss' Alaska-based oil and liquefied natural gas projects. He will be based at the firm's office in Anchorage, Alaska.
   O'Shea most recently served as director of business development for Crowley Maritime Corp. handling sales and operations management for major Crowley projects throughout Alaska and on the North Slope.
   Foss created the new oil field services position, according to a release from the firm, 'to meet Foss' current and future oil and LNG customers' needs and support large oil and gas projects in Alaska and other remote locations around the globe.'
   The nearly 120-year-old Foss has one of the largest fleets of tugs and barges on the American West Coast, operates two shipyards, and maintains harbor services and transportation operations in all major U.S. West Coast ports, including the Columbia and Snake River system.
