Four Soft becomes largest logistics software player with Transaxiom buy Hyderabad, India-based Four Soft Ltd. (4S) has acquired Denmark’s Transaxiom Holding for about $10 million in a cash-and-stock deal spread over three years depending on performance. 4S said the deal makes it the largest player in the transportation and logistics software sector.
   Transaxiom provides IT solutions for international transportation and logistics services companies including TNT Freight, DHL, EGL, Maersk Logistics, BAX Global, Blue Water Shipping and Andreas Andersen. Outside of Denmark it has regional offices in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and Hong Kong.
   “Acquisition of Transaxiom is an integral part of our value strategy of market consolidation and will provide 4S with strategic selling opportunities. Now our customers will derive greater returns from enhanced global footprint, from Australia to Americas, and business service integrated solutions,” said Kal Gangavarapu, 4S’ chief operating officer.
