Freeport stages equipment for first offshore LNG receiving terminal    Port Freeport in East Texas will serve as the staging point for equipment used to build the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal.
   The port has already received eight large suction pile anchors, each weighing as much as 93 tons, from China. This equipment was joined this week by a 200-ton discharge buoy plus heavy-duty chains, wires and flexible flow line arriving aboard the offshore construction vessel, “Seaway Eagle.”
   The components will be used to build the “Gulf of Mexico Energy Bridge Deepwater Port, which is the first of its type, about 120 miles southeast of Port Freeport. The pipeline will bring gas ashore in Louisiana.
   Woodland, Texas-based Excelerate Energy LLC will manage construction of the Energy Bridge project with El Paso Corp.
