Airlines ground some cargo planes to ride out capacity and rate turbulence. At the beginning of December, officials at Singapore Airlines Cargo said goodbye to one of their 13 Boeing 747-400 freighters, taking it out of the sky with the hope to keep it grounded for at least a year, possibly two years.
