FreightScan partners with Indian company

FreightScan partners with Indian company California-based FreightScan said Tuesday it has signed a strategic partnership with an Indian company to market and sell the company’s products throughout the South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation region.
   FreightScan will partner with Group Concorde, a 22-year-old company with 16 offices in India and a reach through the SAARC region, which includes Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the Middle East, among others.
   “India, the Middle East and Eastern Europe have enjoyed strong economic growth and infrastructure modernization in the past two decades, and this has led to a substantial increase in sourcing from low-cost countries and a rapidly expanding rate jump in cargo volumes,' FreightScan Chief Executive Officer Andr' Johnson said in a statement. “This has led to a growing role for air cargo carriers, 3PLs, multinational warehousing facilities, trucking companies and cargo handlers in these regions. Each of these logistics sectors is feeling a need for the latest technology and software systems in order to increase speed in cargo handling, leverage better visibility into their operations and improve ROI.”
   FreightScan develops cargo scanning and security devices.
