FreightWaves launches Firecrown Media

Custom-produced content platform develops video and virtual events

FreightWaves has launched Firecrown Media, a Content-as-a-Service (CaaS) virtual media production platform. Firecrown provides custom-produced virtual events, virtual media networks and broadcast-quality video. Firecrown’s clients are both inside and outside the transportation and logistics industries. 

Empowered by the success of its own streaming video and virtual events platform, FreightWaves established Firecrown Media as a separate division dedicated to custom content.  

The Firecrown platform provides broadcast-quality video production, digital media and virtual events for companies and brands that prioritize quality and engagement. 

“Over the past year, we’ve invested millions in a virtual and streaming media platform with technology that rivals many of the broadcast cable television news networks,” explained Craig Fuller, founder and CEO of FreightWaves. “The Firecrown digital media platform offers the finest quality video production for virtual events and is largely unmatched by any third-party in the space,” Fuller stated. 

FreightWaves SONAR

FreightWaves has used the Firecrown Media platform for its virtual events during 2020, hosting over 165,000 virtual attendees at three events to date. Those attendees consumed over 30 million minutes of on-demand and streaming content. 

While the company did not plan to create a virtual events platform when it designed FreightWaves TV, it was contacted following its virtual events and asked to produce similar events by companies both in and outside of the transportation industry. That was the genesis of Firecrown Media.

Earlier this year after the success of FreightWaves’ first virtual event, Fuller wrote an article about best practices to use when hosting/producing such an event. Much of what the Firecrown Media platform is built on is reflected in this article.

“We’ve received dozens of calls from large companies and brands that understand that putting on a high-quality virtual event is much more complex than producing a webinar,” said Emily Szink, Executive Vice President of Firecrown Media. “They want high-quality video content, with a cadence that keeps people engaged throughout the virtual experience,” Szink explained.
