FW Warehousing updates for speed

   In the coming weeks FW Warehousing, a third party logistics service provider, is updating its business management software to Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) version 6.2.
   “For our customers, the biggest and most noticeable change resulting from this upgrade will be a new and improved web portal,” said Randy Monroe, FW’s director of information technology. “The 6.2 web portal will provide our customers with real-time access to their inbounds, shipments and inventory.”
   Monroe said customers will be able to more quickly view shipments and generate reports, without a need to wait for a customer service member to call them back with the information.
   FW is also adding in support for tracking parcel shipments through UPS and FedEx.
   Monroe said the new features will be slowly rolled out after the company upgrades to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 6.2 and gave the credit for their inception to that upgrade.
