GA/Hamburg Süd change NY/NJ terminal

A Grand Alliance/Hamburg Süd transatlantic service will begin using a new terminal in the Port of New York/New Jersey from mid-March, the German line said in a notice Thursday.
The carriers’ ATX service will cease calling at the New York Container Terminal and move to the Global Marine Terminal in Jersey City. The ATX service, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data, has a rotation of Rotterdam, Hamburg, Le Havre, Southamption, New York/New Jersey, Norfolk, Charleston, and Rotterdam.
The service is currently operated with four vessels (three from OOCL and one from Hamburg Süd), with an average capacity of 4,992 TEUs.
Hamburg Süd said it will be replacing the 5,042-TEU ship it currently provides on the service with a 5,900-TEU ship from March 21.
OOCL’s Grand Alliance partners, Hapag-Lloyd and NYK line, take slots on the service, as do Atlantic Container Line, Alianca, and Zim.
