Transport Capital Partners LLC, which assisted in the sale, said in a statement that Gainey 'plans to keep the flatbed business operating out of Fort Wayne, Ind., and grow market share in this specialized niche.'
North American's flatbed business has served shippers of medical, telecommunications and other high technology equipment.
This past May, Gainey also purchased SIRVA's Blanket Wrap business.
