GATX BUYS LEAMAN LOGISTICS, FORMS CHEMICAL GROUP

   GATX Corp. has acquired Leaman Logistics Inc., an integrated logistics provider to the chemical industry, from Quality Distribution Inc. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
   GATX has combined Leaman Logistics and GATX’s chemical supply chain management and outsourcing businesses to create GATX Liquid Logistics Inc. and GATX Inventory Monitoring Services Inc.
   J. Steven Hamilton, president and chief executive officer of Leaman
Logistics, has been appointed president and CEO of the GATX Chemical Logistics Group.
   Stephen H. Fraser, managing director of GATX Liquid Logistics, has been named executive vice president and chief operations officer of the new GATX chemical logistics group.
   The group will report to David M. Edwards, president of the GATX
Integrated Solutions Group.
