General Freight Services promotes Sebolt to president and COO

General Freight Services promotes Sebolt to president and COO    General Freight Services Inc., a non-asset-based third-party logistics services company based in Atlanta, has promoted Gregory D. Sebolt to president and chief operating officer.
   Sebolt now has responsibility for all day-to-day management of the company, including operations, sales and marketing, current customer retention programs, profitability, vendor relationship management and human resources.
   Daniel D. Smith, the company’s founder and former president and chief executive officer, will remain as CEO and take on an additional role as chairman of the board.
   “The move allows Smith to focus on strategic acquisitions, international expansion and strategic partnerships,” General Freight Services said in a statement.
