GeoLogistics appoints Ranchon CEO of its French subsidiary

   Christian Ranchon was appointed chief executive officer of GeoLogistics SA, the French subsidiary of U.S.-headquartered GeoLogistics Corp., effective Nov. 1.

   Ranchon will be based at the subsidiary’s head office in Garonor, Paris, and will report to Karl Nutzinger, CEO of the Europe/Middle East/Africa region at GeoLogistics.

   Ranchon, who began his forwarding career in 1978, has worked for MSAS Cargo International, Kuehne & Nagel, Emery Worldwide and LEP International, the company which became GeoLogistics.

   Prior to his joining GeoLogistics, he spent seven years with Emery Worldwide France as sales director responsible for general business growth, also acting as project manager for a number of the company’s logistics projects.
