GEOLOGISTICS NAMES AROVAS COO, HEATH CEO AMERICAS

Bob Arovas has been named global chief operating officer and Malcom
Heath as chief executive officer Americas, for GeoLogistics Corp., the
Denver-based logistics company.
The appointments reflect the company’s efforts to bring its business
units together under one brand, GeoLogistics said.
Arovas will take over the company’s global transportation and forwarding
operations. He is a 20-year industry veteran, most recently with BAX Global
and Fritz Cos.
Heath, who recently joined GeoLogistics as president of international
and Americas, will now lead Canada, Latin America and U.S. international
and domestic operations.
Roger Payton, CEO of GeoLogistics, "will continue to be responsible for
the non-traditional freight forwarding business units such as GeoLogistics
Network Solutions/Bekins and GeoLogistics Air Services in order to maximize their
stability and growth," said William E. Simmon Jr., chairman.
