GEOLOGISTICS TO PROVIDE FORWARDING SERVICES FOR COST PLUS INC.

   GeoLogistics Corp., the non-asset-based global logistics provider, has contracted with Cost Plus Inc., a specialty retailer, to provide freight forwarding services between the United States and India.

   Cost Plus, based in Oakland, Calif., operates 134 stores in 19 states under the names Cost Plus World Market and World Market. The stores sell home furnishings, housewares, gifts, decorative accessories and gourmet food and beverages.

   Jeremy Muller, director of business development for the South Asia region for GeoLogistics Americas Inc., said Cost Plus expects to expand its sourcing into other areas in Asia.

   GeoLogistics also said it has appointed Christine Moore as implementation manager for its Europe-Mideast-Africa region.

   Moore comes to the company from BAX Global, where she was global account manager for the past 18 months. Prior to BAX global she was traffic manager for electrical manufacturer Square D.

   She will be based at GeoLogistics' Heathrow office.
