Georgia Ports agrees to test programs

The Georgia Ports Authority has agreed to take part in two technology pilot programs designed by the Maritime Logistics Innovation Center.

The first pilot program aims to reduce the port of Savannah’s truck turn times and create a communications network between the port authority and its clients.

The second program is designed to monitor the productivity of port equipment and machinery, and provide constant, real-time location of containers.
