GEP buys Enporion for supply chain play

Florida’s Global eProcure (GEP) has announced its acquisition of Enporion, a Tampa-based supply chain management firm.
GEP has been a provider of sourcing and procurement services since 1999 and has expanded its business to include a SaaS (software as a service)-based source-to-pay platform. Enporion’s operations cover sourcing and e-procurement applications with many customers in the utilities and manufacturing industries.
GEP said it will brand Enporion as a GEP Co. and plans to retain Enporion’s chief executive officer George Gordon as well as key members of his team. GEP will integrate Enporion’s services directly with its own over time, but promised to support and maintain Enporion’s existing products and services.
