Germanischer Lloyd restructuring maritime services division
German classification society Germanischer Lloyd, which has just fought off a hostile takeover from French rival Bureau Veritas, will this month restructure its maritime services division.
Maritime services will be subdivided into four separate divisions: Fleet in Service, Ship Newbuilding, Maritime Systems, and Components and Innovation and Strategic Research.
'The aim is to provide the customers with individual technical support,' Germanischer Lloyd said.
