GF-X changes advisory council

GF-X changes advisory council    General Freight Exchange (GF-X), which provides electronic bookings for the air freight industry, has named three new members to its advisory council to replace outgoing members.
   GF-X said Ben Darnell, managing director of cargo marketing and sales at Delta Air Lines, would replace outgoing member Steve Blane. Roland Schutze, senior vice president, sales at Lufthansa Cargo, is replacing Wolfgang Schmitz. Schmitz will continue to serve as a GF-X board member. Mike O'Toole, vice president global freight forwarding operations at UTi, is joining the council to replace the retiring Peter Thorrington.
   The advisory council provides viewpoints from the air freight industry to GF-X, and provides feedback on the efficiency, effectiveness and fairness of the GF-X. The council also works to promote the use of electronic bookings and electronic commerce in general.
