Classification society Germanischer Lloyd (GL) has appointed Christian Freiherr von Oldershausen to the newly created position of senior vice president of global sales.
Von Oldershausen’s appointment reflects GL’s goal to further expand its global activities. He will be based in GL’s head office in Hamburg.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the maritime industry, with his most recent position as managing director of Deutsche Seewert, a marine advisory and asset management firm.
