GlazerÆs chooses Management Dynamics system
Management Dynamics said the second largest distributor of wine and spirits in the United States has started using its supply chain visibility and event management product for domestic and international supply chain operations.
The wine and spirits distributor is Glazer's Wholesale Drug Co., a Dallas-based company whose name derives from the fact that it was founded during Prohibition when only drugstores and drug wholesalers could deal in liquor. Today the company distributes for such vendors as Robert Mondavi, Brown-Forman, Bacardi spirits, and Diageo products.
Management Dynamics says Glazer has replaced manual order and shipment tracking processes, which frequently led to significant delays and difficulty in determining accurate inventory levels and expected arrival dates for shipments.
