GLOBAL FREIGHT EXCHANGE SIGNS ON AIR FRANCE CARGO    Global Freight Exchange, the Internet-based marketplace for air-freight capacity, said Air France Cargo is joining the exchange and Lufthansa Cargo and British Airways Cargo have strengthened their commitment, naming GF-X their preferred electronic channel.
   Air France Cargo said its products will be available via the exchange when its technical integration is complete. The company chose GF-X to 'make our differentiated product offering electronically available to the leading international forwarders,' said Marc Boudier, executive vice president.
   Lufthansa Cargo, a member of GF-X since 2000, said forwarders will soon be able to book its major product, td.Pro, as well as allotments via the exchange. Lufthansa Cargo has offered td.Flash on GF-X, but plans to roll out more products this year.
   British Airways World Cargo has also been a member since 2000.
   Since going live in October 2000, GF-X said its bookings have grown to exceed 30,000 per month. GF-X's Web site may be accessed at https://www.gf-x.com .
