Goodman expands at Port of Hamburg

The logistics real estate owner will begin constructing a logistics center at the German port in May 2017.    Logistics real estate owner Goodman is planning to develop a 35,000-square-meter logistics center at the Port of Hamburg, the German port said.
   Flexible units from approximately 5,000 square meters will be available starting in 2018.
   The site, located at Moorburger Bogen, will begin development in May 2017 and will be geared towards flexibility and cross-docking logistics, the port said.
   “We are seeing significant demand for modern logistics sites in Hamburg, which is outstripping current supply,” said Christof Prange, head of business development for Goodman in Germany. “With our new logistics center, we are providing customers with a high-quality, flexible site in Germany’s logistics hotspot.”
   Goodman has initiated several other projects in Hamburg, including the opening of the 44,000-square-meter Interlink Hamburg Logistics Park with Satair Group, the logistics subsidiary of Airbus.
   Aviation supplier Diehl Comfort Modules and logistics service provider STUTE Logistics are also in the logistics park.
   Goodman is also expanding the Atlenwerder logistics property in Hamburg to include cross-dock logistics, the warehousing of goods requiring water hazard Class 3 storage, and the possible operation of an outdoor store.
