Grand View Development buys shares of UES

Grand View Development buys shares of UES    Grand View Development (HK) Ltd., an international container lessor based in Hong Kong, has acquired the shares of Unit Equipment Services AG (UES), a provider of equipment leasing services. UES is based in Hamburg, Germany.
   The two companies will continue to operate independently of each other 'under the same names and same (current) management,' they said in a joint statement. Their respective headquarters will remain in Hong Kong and Hamburg.
   The new equity arrangement will give both Grand View Development and UES the financial strength to continue growing in niche markets. The companies will also explore the joint administration of a global, short-term master lease operation.
   Together, both Grand View Development and UES manage more than 420,000 TEUs.
