Greece, Turkey increase air routes

Greece, Turkey increase air routes

Greece and Turkey have signed an agreement expanding air traffic rights between the two traditional Mediterranean rivals, according to the International Civil Aviation Organization.

The agreement increases routes and the frequency of flights between the countries along with related safety measures.

The extra airspace capacity is considered an important step as Greece prepares for increased air traffic associated with the Summer Olympic Games to be held in Athens in 2004.
