Greybox to manage box fleet for U.S. Lines’ planned venture

   Greybox Logistics Services, a provider of container fleet management and empty box re-positioning services, has been awarded a contract to manage the container fleet of United States Lines, a new transpacific shipping line backed by Ed Aldridge and other shipping executives.

   U.S. Lines said it will launch its service on Dec. 29, although no information is currently available on whether it has chartered ships.

   Greybox said that its contract will commence in December. The company will manage the day-to-day operations of the U.S. Lines container fleet, and will have personnel working at U.S. Lines’ Hong Kong office.

   Greybox Logistics Services. is a subsidiary of Transamerica Leasing Inc.
