CMA CGM to raise rates between Asia and North Europe.
CMA CGM. Rates will increase on all cargo from Asia, including Southeast Asia and Bangladesh, to North Europe by $300 per TEU on Jan. 26.
The Shanghai Containerized Freight Index closed Dec. 26 at 1076.63 points, down 43.70 points from the previous week. Rates to the U.S. West Coast ended the week at $2,242 per FEU, up 20 percent from the previous week, while rates to the U.S. East Coast were $4,575 per FEU, up 7.5 percent.
