Ocean carriers Maersk Line and CMA CGM issued general rate increases.

   Ocean carriers Maersk Line and CMA CGM announced general rate increases.
   The Danish carrier issued various general rate increases from Asia to North Europe, the Mediterranean, Australia and the Americas.
   For Maersk Line, rates will increase from:

  • Far East Asia (excluding Japan) to North Europe effective Sept. 1. Rates will increase by $1,000 per TEU, $2,000 per FEU, $2,000 per 40-foot high cube and $2,000 per 45-foot high cube dry and reefer.
  • Far East Asia (excluding Japan) to the Mediterranean (excluding Syria) effective Sept. 1. Rates will increase by $1,250 per TEU, $2,500 per FEU, $2,500 per 40-foot high cube and $2,500 per 45-foot high cube dry and reefer.
  • Far East Asia (excluding Japan) to Syria effective Sept. 1. Rates will increase by 1,000 euros per TEU, 2,000 euros per FEU, 2,000 euros per 40-foot high cube and 2,000 euros per 45-foot high cube dry and reefer.
  • Chiwan, Nansha New Port, Wanzai, Zhuhai, Yantian and Hong Kong to Australia effective Sept. 1. Rates will increase by $600 per TEU, $1,200 per forty-foot container (FEU) and $1,200 per 40-foot high cube dry container.
  • Shanghai, Xiamen and Ningbo to Australia effective Sept. 1. Rates will increase by $550 per TEU, $1,100 per FEU and $1,100 per 40-foot high cube dry container.
  • Qingdao to Australia effective Sept. 1. Rates will increase by $700 per TEU, $1,400 per FEU and $1,400 per 40-foot high cube dry container.
  • South Korea to Australia effective Sept. 1. Rates will increase by $800 per TEU, $1,600 per FEU and $1,600 per forty-foot high cube dry container.
  • Taiwan to Australia effective Sept. 1. Rates will increase by $750 per TEU, $1,500 per FEU and $1,500 per 40-foot high cube dry container.
  • China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Taiwan to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Chile, Colombia (Buenaventura), Ecuador and Peru effective Sept. 15. Rates will increase by $500 per TEU, $1,000 per FEU, $1,000 per 40-foot high cube dry and $1,000 per 40-foot non-operating reefers.
  • China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Taiwan to Panama, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Colombia (Santa Marta, Cartagena and Barranquilla) and Puerto Rico will also increase Sept. 15. Rates will increase by $400 per TEU, $600 per FEU and $600 per 40-foot high cube dry container.

   CMA CGM will increase rates from Asia (excluding Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh) to Mozambique and Tamatave (except Pointe-des-Galets) on all cargo on the MOZEX service effective Sept. 15. Rates will increase by $150 per container.
