Grieg first female president of Norwegian Shipowners’ Association The Norwegian Shipowners’ Association has elected Elisabeth Grieg, chief executive of Grieg International, as its first female president.
   Grieg succeeds Trygve Seglem of Knutsen OAS Shipping, who has been the association’s president for the last two years.
   “As the industry’s figurehead, I will be seeking to help make Norway’s voice better heard in international forums, in terms of higher environmental standards, seafarers’ work and pay conditions and competence development,” she said.
   Thor J'rgen Guttormsen of Leif H'egh & Co. and Stig Rem'y of Olympic Shipping were elected as new vice presidents, having been NSA board members for six and four years, respectively.
