Griffin new boss at Agility Project Logistics

Agility has appointed Thomas J. Griffin as president and chief executive officer of Agility Project Logistics, its specialized oil and gas project unit headquartered in Houston.

Griffin was senior vice president of Agility’s project cargo division, which was created after the acquisition of Kenner, La.-based Transoceanic Shipping Co. in the first half of 2005 when the Middle East firm was known as PWC Logistics.

Transoceanic disappeared as a brand last year when PWC consolidated all of its subsidiaries, including GeoLogistics and Translink, under the Agility moniker.

Griffin joined Transoceanic in 1997 and replaces Gregory Rusovich, who has led the company, founded by his father in 1947, since the 2005 takeover. Rusovich is leaving to spend more time with his family and to focus on recovery efforts in his hometown New Orleans, Agility said.

Griffin reports directly to Essa Al-Saleh, president and CEO, Agility Global Integrated Logistics.
