GRIMALDI CONFIRMS PURCHASE OF EXTRA SHARES IN ACL
Italian shipping group Grimaldi confirmed that it has acquired a 10-percent shareholding in Atlantic Container Line from CMA CGM.
The terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
The deal has increased Grimaldi’s ownership in ACL from 81 percent to 91.25 percent.
Grimaldi acquired a majority control of ACL earlier this year and has since implemented joint transshipment services with the transatlantic carrier in the North America/West Africa and North America/Mediterranean
trades.
