Group unveils transportation marketing campaign

Americans for Transportation Mobility pushes for long-term Congressional action.

Americans for Transportation Mobility, a lobbying arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, has launched an as campaign at Congress urging the development of a long-term transportation plan.
The regional push means 33 Congressional districts will see billboards and print advertisements trumpeting FasterBetterSafer.org and the importance of a long-term bill, the group said in a press release.
According to ATM’s vice president, Janet Kavinoky, the marketing campaign will “illustrate the important role” infrastructure plays in the everyday lives of citizens.
“Congress passed legislation in late July that will keep the Highway Trust Fund solvent until May of next year, but America needs — and deserves — better,” she stated. “Without a bipartisan, sustainable and long-term solution, we are jeopardizing the roads, bridges and transit systems that have helped this country grow and prosper. And we are preventing future generations from enjoying the same advancement and mobility.”
