Grupo Kettal opens Miami operation

Grupo Kettal opens Miami operation    Spanish outdoor furniture manufacturer Grupo Kettal has opened a sales and distribution center in Miami.
   The company, which has its headquarters in Barcelona, distributes furniture to more than 60 countries. It already has offices in Spain, France, Germany, Shanghai and Hong Kong, and plans to use its Miami location as a gateway to both North and South America. It has invested $5 million to develop a 10,000-square-foot marketing and distribution center.
   'After more than 40 years of great success and tremendous growth, we believes that tapping into both the North American and Latin American markets will enhance overall performance of our company for years to come,' said Oscar Moro, Grupo Kettal general manager.
   The company was aided in establishing its Miami operation by the Beacon Council, a Miami-based business development organization that works closely with Florida Enterprise, the State of Florida's public-private trade promotion agency.
