GT NEXUS COMPLETES CARRIER INTEGRATION FOR BOOKING, TRACKING

GT Nexus has completed integration of its Web-based logistics management applications with the back-office systems of its carrier partners for booking and tracking.

GT Nexus said the booking and tracking integration process took five months, using the company's proprietary connectivity software. The company said it will address the addition of other integrated services later in the year.

The GT Nexus Global-Connect software is designed to provide customers with a single platform for managing shipments with multiple carrier partners, improve on electronic data interchange processes, while preserving legacy systems and provide further integration capabilities using XML and other Web technologies.

GT Nexus, formerly known as Tradiant, is a provider of global electronic logistics services. The Alameda, Calif.-based company's membership includes APL, CP Ships, Crowley Liner Services, CSAV, Hanjin, Hyundai, “K” Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Senator Lines, Wan Hai, Yang Ming, and Zim Israel Navigation Co.
