GT Nexus shipper council gives CMA CGM data quality nod

The GT Nexus Shipper Council, a community of supply chain executives from large enterprises across all industry verticals, cited the liner carrier CMA CGM for its outstanding data quality performance over the past 12 months.
The carrier was deemed to have provided the best overall data quality to the network of companies that are operating their supply chains on the GT Nexus cloud supply chain platform.
The GT Nexus Shipper Council is a group of executives from large importers and exporters who collaborate to improve partner relations, technology performance and business processes. Companies on the council, which have combined annual revenues of more than 1 trillion euros and work with every major supply chain provider, share GT Nexus as their global supply chain technology platform.
“A core aspect of the shipper council charter is to work collectively as a group to improve the way we collaborate and transact with common partners,” said Bill Coxwell, director of logistics at VF Corp. and current council chairman. “The information we get from ocean carriers is critical because so much of our global imports and exports move by container.”
Council members measure and benchmark against the collective industry performance, with improvements by any single member benefiting the entire community. The work of the group has moved the industry average data quality score to above 95 percent across the top global 20 ocean carriers, GT Nexus said.
“We understand the importance of technology innovation to our customers,” said Shailendra Moondra, senior manager of IT applications at CMA CGM (America). “A year ago, we made a commitment to the GT Nexus customer community and that hard work has paid off.” – Eric Johnson
