GT Nexus signs two new customers

GT Nexus has announced two new customers: the fiber and plastics company INVISTA and CNH Global N.V., a maker of agricultural and construction equipment.

GT Nexus will provide INVISTA with Web-based global freight spend management platform. INVISTA will use the GT Nexus portal to procure transport services and manage shipping rates for its global network of ocean carriers.

'We move thousands of containers every month,' said Kevin Steinke, North America manager of international commerce at INVISTA. 'We needed a proven technology solution to help us capture and manage rates that are constantly changing with the market.” The companies said the system would allow INVISTA to respond quickly to changing market conditions.

CNH will use the GT Nexus portal to track global shipments of finished goods and parts. CNH is a majority-owned subsidiary of Fiat S.p.A., and has a network of about 11,100 dealers and distributors in 160 countries.

Dror Noach, vice president of distribution logistics at CNH, said, 'with GT Nexus we have an information platform which gives us a level of transparency needed to give better service to our customers.'
