The Guayaquil Container and Multipurpose Terminal received three new quay cranes and eight rubber tired gantries in recent days.
'The cranes are the first of their kind to be used in Ecuadorian port operations, and are the most modern containerized cargo handling equipment in the country,' ICTSI said in a statement.
The terminal has 1,480 meters of quay length, with 38 hectares of container yard space.
Philippines-based ICTSI operates terminals in 11 countries.
