Hakala appointed to run new Ceres terminal in New Orleans
Ceres Terminals Inc. has appointed Jeffrey Hakala vice president of Ceres Gulf’s New Orleans operations, effective July 1. Hakala will be based at Ceres’ new Napoleon Avenue terminal facility.
A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N.Y., Hakala began his career in marine transportation in 1975 with Atlantic & Gulf Stevedores in Texas. During his career, he has held senior management positions with I.T.O. Corp., Fairway Terminal Corp. and J.J. Flanagan Shipping Corp.
