Halifax adds 2 super post-Panamax cranes    The Port of Halifax's Halterm Container Terminal will receive two new super post-Panamax ship-to-shore cranes in 2012, the terminal's owner said Tuesday.
   The new deliveries will bring the number of such cranes to seven at Halterm, owned by Macquarie Infrastructure Partners.
   “The investment in new cranes is indicative of Halterm's confidence in the long-term strength of the Halifax market,” said Ashley Dinning, chief executive officer of Halterm Container Terminal Ltd.
   Halifax has the deepest container berths, with a $35 million project underway to extend and deepen the pier to simultaneous accommodate two of the world’s largest vessels.
   Super post-Panamax cranes can reach across ships 22 rows or wider.
