Strachan Shipping was third-party agent for Kien Hung Line, the Taiwanese carrier acquired by Hamburg Sud in April 2003. The agent was retained during the first nine months after the acquisition.
“Hamburg Sud will now integrate the services within its own network of proprietary offices in the Unites States and worldwide,” the German shipping group said.
In July, Hamburg Sud already announced that it would drop the brand name Kien Hung and operate its liner services under the Hamburg Sud name.
