Hamburg Sud increasing Trident capacity
German ocean line Hamburg Sud will next week introduce the 2,524-TEU vessel “Cap Melville” onto its fortnightly Europe/U.S. East Coast/Australia/New Zealand Trident service.
The vessel will replace one of the six 2,000-TEU ships deployed on the service when it joins the rotation Oct. 24 at the Port of Savannah.
The Trident service started in February and has a port rotation of Tilbury; Bremerhaven; Antwerp; Philadelphia; Savannah, Ga.; Cartagena, Colombia; Auckland; Sydney; Melbourne; Timaru; Napier; Tauranga; Cartagena; Savannah; Philadelphia; and back to Tilbury.
