Hamburg Sud reshuffles executives in Argentina, New Zealand
Hamburg Sud has made several executive appointments at its affiliates in Argentina, Peru and New Zealand.
The German shipping group has appointed Norbert Bergmann deputy general manager, commercial, of Hamburg S'd Sucursal Argentina in Buenos Aires. Bergmann is now responsible for marketing, sales and customer service in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. From 1999, he was director and owners’ representative of Hamburg Sud in Mexico.
His successor as owners’ representative in Mexico City is J'rn Baetke, who was general manager of Hamburg Sud Peru.
Hamburg Sud Peru will now be run by two joint general managers: Maria del Carmen Masias, in charge of administration and logistics, and Carlos Jos' Fabbri, in charge of commercial matters.
In New Zealand, Simon Edwards will be appointed general manager, commercial, effective Oct. 26. He will succeed Bo Samuelsson, who will leave the shipping group at the end of this year. Edwards has been in charge of trade management matters for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands since 2002.
