Hanjin jumps aboard Evergreen Thailand feeder Korean carrier Hanjin Shipping said Friday it is extending its Thailand feeder network by adding Evergreen’s TWT (Taiwan-Thailand) service, which runs between Laem Chabang and Kaohsiung on a weekly basis, starting Monday.
   “This feeder service, transshipping cargo from Laem Chabang via Kaohsiung, is expected to reduce the transit time from Thailand to the West Coast of the U.S. by six days,” Hanjin said in a statement. “The company believes that shorter time will not only upgrade the competitiveness of its service but also increase the cargo volume in this trade.
   'Moreover, Hanjin Shipping, now with four different feeder services transshipping cargo from Thailand to the U.S., believes that adding this service will enable the company to accommodate the growing cargo from Thailand and also ease the vessel space shortage problem during the peak seasons.”
