Hanjin Logistics opens 3 new offices

Hanjin Logistics said it had opened three new offices in Nanjing in China, Tokyo in Japan and Casablanca in Morocco.
The Seoul-headquartered firm said it has expanded its network aggressively this year to strengthen its presence in the global logistics market and is developing strategic business partnerships with other firms.
“Although economic downturn has been damaging the shipping industry since early this year, we still see some potential areas where we can explore new growth opportunities, especially for our 3PL business unit,” said S.H. Lee, Hanjin Logistics’ strategic planning team head in Seoul. “MENA (Middle East and North Africa), South America, China and India are those markets.  We are now trying to expand our network there and lift service quality to meet customers’ requirements.”
The company said that it has signed memorandums of understanding with large regional logistic companies in Africa, Turkey and China.
Hanjin Logistics is now operating in 48 countries for more than 300 customers.
