Hanjin opens Bremen office

Hanjin opens Bremen office    Hanjin Shipping said Monday it will open a sales office in Bremen, Germany April 3.
   The Korean ocean carrier said it has been handling 40,000 TEUs a year through its Bremen agency, but the company expects to improve its business and organizational efficiency by establishing a sales office as a direct sales organization. The company has already opened local companies in Valencia and Bangkok and a sales office in Antwerp. The company added that improved sales competency and customer service is needed in the Europe/Asian trade to handle growing volumes.
   Bremen is a major industrial city in Northern Europe and one of the main trading ports in Germany. The Port of Bremen can only accommodate vessels with a draft of 10 meters (33 feet) or shallower. Super-sized ships are calling at Bremerhaven, an outlying port at the mouth of the Weser River.
