Hanjin Shipping said Wednesday it plans to raise rates from Asia to Europe and West Africa from Dec. 23.
The increases are $200 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot container from Asia to Northern Europe and West Africa; and $175 per 20-foot container and $350 per 40-foot container from Asia to the Mediterranean.
The increases apply to all equipment types, but do not apply from origins in Japan and Australia.
