Hanjin receives two 8,600-TEU ships

   Hanjin Shipping has received the last two vessels of a series of five 8,600-TEU containerships ordered from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, the carrier said Tuesday.

   The two ships, the Hanjin Rotterdam and Hanjin Seattle, will be deployed at the end of April on the CKYH Alliance's NE6 service between Asia and Europe. The service has a rotation of Gwangyang, Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Yantian, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Singapore and Gwangyang. According to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data, the service has operated with 10 vessels (six from Hanjin and four from COSCO Container Lines) with an average capacity of 9,257 TEUs.
